Building a Brabham
The last few weeks have been very busy for us.
We were called in by a customer to help build a Brabham, which was not just any Brabham but Denny Hulmes 1963 Brabham BT6 Formula Junior.
When we first saw the car, it was little more than a rolling chassis. But over the last few weeks, we have systematically rebuilt the car, replacing parts, where necessary, to bring it back in line with Formula Junior regulations.
Finished last Thursday, the car took to the track with its new owner at the Silverstone historic festival and completed four, 30 minute test sessions on the Friday, followed by qualifying and a race on the Saturday.
The car ran faultlessly throughout the two days and is a testament to the hard work put in during the build.
It is safe to say that the customer is very happy with his car and cannot wait to get back behind the wheel!
